Today, we’re excited to introduce our Addictive Mala Dressing with Fragrant Sichuan Pepper!
This irresistible dressing strikes a perfect balance between the tingling heat of chili and Sichuan pepper and the rich umami of Japanese ingredients. The refreshing aroma and numbing sensation of hua jiao (Sichuan pepper), combined with apple, onion, and sesame paste, create a deeply flavorful and addictive taste—not just spicy, but savory and satisfying.
The soy sauce used is made entirely from domestically grown soybeans and wheat, carefully managed to avoid GMO contamination. For sweetness, we use Kikaijima raw sugar, made from 100% sugarcane grown on Kikaijima in Kagoshima Prefecture. The salt is sun-dried sea salt from southern Italy, adding a mellow and rich depth to the flavor.
Though mala seasonings are often heavy in oil, this dressing cuts oil content by 80% (compared to our previous product) and reduces fat by 55%. The sesame and canola oils are cold-pressed without chemical solvents, making them a safer and more natural choice.
This versatile dressing is perfect not only for salads but also as a topping for chilled tofu, steamed chicken, or ramen. Suitable for all kinds of dishes—Japanese, Western, or Chinese—it's a must-have item for your kitchen.
