Today, we would like to introduce "grape juice" made from specially cultivated grapes from Lilac Farm!
Lilac Farm's grape juice is 100% straight juice without additives, made mainly from Merlot, a world-class wine grape variety also known as black grapes, which is used to make red wine.
As a red wine grape variety, Merlot is the most cultivated red wine variety in France along with Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.
Lilac Farm is an orchard located in Mashino, Minami-Shinshu, and has been involved in organic farming for the past 20 years, and has continued special cultivation such as reduced pesticide use for the past 13 years. The grapes are certified as specially cultivated agricultural products and are supplied to wineries in the suburbs.
When it comes to wine, people talk about the differences in flavor between regions, but Japanese Merlot red wine is said to have a delicate berry aroma and fruitiness, with very mild, dense tannins and a soft mouthfeel.
