Yuri Uehara

The more pure ingredients you consume, the more aware you will be of your own consciousness.

At the organic market Tenbusu in Okinawa City,

Customers come from various regions and have various backgrounds.

"Why would you choose Tenbusu instead of your local supermarket?"

"I wonder what kind of person that always cheerful person is..."

Representative Mayeda wanted to know more about the customers, so he brought along the store manager, Mr. Kuniyoshi.

We decided to ask our regular customers to tell us their stories.

The third speaker is Yuri Uehara, a cleanse counselor specializing in internal detox.

How exactly is our “self-consciousness” created?

The hour flew by and I was captivated by Mr. Uehara's talk about humans in space.

[Maeida]

I wish I could interview Mr. Uehara today about his activities. Kuniyoshi-san is also with me.

[Uehara]

Oh, Kuniyoshi-san! My shoulder always hurts...

[Kuniyoshi]

Yes (lol). thank you.

[Uehara]

I was worried about how my shoulder was feeling.

【interviewer】

I see you often.

[Uehara]

I think Tenbusu will go crazy. The only month I don't suddenly go is when I'm on an expedition to a rural area. I sometimes go there about once a week. I sometimes stop by after my daughter's lessons.

"Relaxed, playful and a little random"I want to increase the number of

【interviewer】

Regarding your occupation, Mr. Uehara, could you tell us what you do as a “cleanse counselor specializing in internal detox”?

[Uehara]

Detox is part of the so-called "health" genre, but beyond detox, my job is to create an internal environment that makes it easier to connect with the mother's body.

【interviewer】

What is the state of being connected to the mother's body?

[Uehara]

It goes without saying that if you detox or cleanse, your health will come naturally, but as a result of taking care of cleaning and repairing your body, I feel like it becomes activated and awakens your dormant sensibilities. I believe that something interesting will happen when everyone reaches that realm. I place the utmost importance on simply creating a body that is directly connected to energy. If I were to describe my personality as a person, I'd say ``a relaxed, playful, and somewhat casual person.'' I work because I think it would be interesting if more and more laid-back people like this appeared on the planet.

【interviewer】

What kind of person would you describe as a ``relaxed, playful, and slightly random person''?

[Uehara]

My interest in detox started when I was in the fourth grade of elementary school. I have studied fasting and immunity up until the age of 37, and what I feel is most important is not the latest academic knowledge or skills, but ``relaxation''. These playful, laid-back people have the mental space to come up with divine ideas. I'm interested in what kind of world would be created based on ideas like this.

【interviewer】

Shouldn't you be more relaxed? Mr. Uehara's detox program is based on this perspective.

[Uehara]

I agree. What I want to convey through this work is not actually ``be healthy.''

"Get  back to your roots." We want you to go back to the simple reason why you were born. Society is demanding a very sustainable movement right now, but I think the global environment will only change when each and every one of us returns to our roots.

When we say we should protect the global environment, we are only saying this because humans will no longer be able to live on Earth. I feel like the will of the earth is not necessarily in a bad way. This is because I think of the universe as something that changes and transforms. That's why I think it's a little unnatural that we're trying to protect the earth. Let's really protect ourselves, right? Like.

The sun continues to burn without any meaning to it, and all we have is hope. Even animals accept their death easily. I think it's humanity that is expressing despair. Cleansing is my own kind of sustainable activity. Shouldn't it be simpler? Is that what you mean?

[Maeida]

I feel like I understand something. I was listening to the song, wondering what Mr. Uehara's phrase ``Get back to your roots'' would mean in your own words.

I guess it's similar to the Buddhist idea of ``exploding existence.'' Human beings emit 99% of their energy from the moment they are born. So just existing is enough, but there's still 1% left. That 1% is what Buddhism calls ``enlightenment,'' and what you need to do to achieve that enlightenment is to explode your own existence.

I feel that what Mr. Uehara says, ``Get back to your roots.'' has more meaning than the impression of the words. It's like applying it to the remaining 1% to make your existence shine. I felt like there were so many different ways to put it on that only I knew how to do it.

Don't skimp on food to the point of anxiety

[Maeida]

What does Mr. Uehara's cleanse program do?

[Uehara]

When it comes to meals, I don't skip meals completely, but rather have lighter meals. The seeds should be as pure as possible, should not contain any chemicals, and should not have been transported from far away. Ingredients that meet these three conditions are made into a soup with simple seasonings such as salt and vegetable stock. I prepare two types of 500 ml of it, and I serve it when my clients say they're hungry. It's hard for humans to feel happy without chewing, so I serve as much as I can fit in one hand just to chew on naturally grown seasonal vegetables.

Then, enjoy 500ml of blended herbal tea and unlimited water. This can be done at any time you like. This is the menu for the first day. On the second day, it's morning, so we serve brown rice porridge or miso soup upon request.

The key is not to cut back on your food intake to the point where you become anxious. There are many people who want to completely fast, but when they hear that they only have water, their bodies react. I feel that making decisions can sometimes get in the way of detox.

【interviewer】

Okay, let's do it! Isn't it good to strain?

[Uehara]

There are also times when I feel like I want to run away. Adrenaline is secreted by the adrenal glands. Detox requires resting the internal organs, but if any organ is tense, the movement of various fluids in the body will be insufficient, so I have designed a menu that makes you feel like you can close your eyes if this is enough. . Still, there are some people who don't drink 1 liter of soup. If your internal organs are tired, you won't be hungry, so I try to respond to the attitude of that person's internal organs.

I also spend time meditating to set my mindset, and do yoga or Tibetan exercises to get my body moving. There are also water trips such as going to waterfalls and swimming in the sea.

[Maeida]

Is swimming at the beach also considered a water trip?

[Uehara]

In order to return to your childish mind, we ask you to connect with water.

After that, through acupuncture treatment (Irei Harikyuin), we will observe the reactions of the body to the foods that are suitable for the person and the foods that are not. This kind of thing is part of the program.

That blur is just accessing other people's collective consciousness.

【interviewer】

As I listened to Mr. Uehara's story, I thought that ``returning to a child's heart'' is also a keyword. As you grow up, you absorb various experiences and ideas from outside. Do you feel like you're getting rid of all the things that have accumulated like that?

[Uehara]

Scrape it off. I think that's true. I wish it were simple.

【interviewer】

Mr. Uehara, was there ever a time when you were feeling confused and surrounded by so many things?

[Uehara]

I still feel confused. I think feeling anxious is a very natural thing. I tend to think that it's just a quirk of my personality, but I think it's not something that comes from me, but rather that I'm simply accessing the collective consciousness that comes from other people. Although you can't see it, just like Wi-Fi radio waves, people's lively emotions are actually floating in the air. I think that when you pass by and are caught up in a scene, you pull out buried memories and compare them, and as a result, you connect with these consciousnesses and feelings.

However, I don't think this is who I really am.

So what is your true state? I think that when you are relaxed and your stomach and shoulders are relaxed, you are closest to your true self.

【interviewer】

I think it's related to what I'm talking about right now, but Tenbus runs a company based on the theme of ``naturalness''. What do you think a "natural state" is like, Mr. Uehara?

[Uehara]

Speaking of naturalness, everything is natural. I believe that both well-dressed and undressed people, the current state of the global environment, and even the rapidly developing urban centers are all part of nature.

【interviewer】

Does that mean that you don't fight against the status quo?

[Uehara]

I think even people who push themselves too hard are natural. I understand that this person's natural form of life is this kind of form.

[Maeida]

I've asked several people about their ``natural body'' so far, but Mr. Uehara's natural body is the most cosmic in scale (lol).

[All together]

Tenbusu enriches the soul

parking of life

[Uehara]

This is my opinion, but I think everyone should have more faith in the fact that they can create the environment they are currently in. I think of myself as being truly safe and secure.

For example, when there is a disharmony between the environment and the body, if you come to understand that ``I am just plugging myself into the outlet of the collective consciousness,'' you will realize that you no longer need that environment or emotion as your energy source. It would be nice to be able to play around by swinging the cord around without plugging it in. On the other hand, if you feel it's fun, you can plug into various consciousnesses and dimensions.

I believe that if we understand the overall picture of the dimension of consciousness, we will be able to create a society and world that we can enjoy more.

I think a store like Tenbusu would be useful in such situations. The reason is that I think the more you enjoy eating pure ingredients, the more you will become aware of interesting things that cannot be seen with the naked eye.

[Maeida]

Is it like when you play with pure children, you realize how dirty you are?

[Uehara]

I agree. I believe that by choosing something that you enjoy and that is delicious, you will be able to improve your physical condition, give yourself peace of mind both mentally and physically, and take the time to remember the feelings you were originally born with. I think companies like Tenbusu will be the catalyst for this. I get the impression that you are creating a store that will help change everyone's mindset.

[Maeida]

As I've been talking about this all day, I've been thinking that the source of building the world is our own consciousness, whether it's the collective consciousness or the unconscious. Realize that you can choose how to organize your energy. In that case, I thought that the food regimen we have at home could be a way to access the collective consciousness or unconscious mind. I want to make it my life's work to connect nutrition and the unconscious mind.

[Uehara]

If Ms. Mayeda is in the position of a midwife guiding people's mindset change, I would like her to have great freedom in her role. I hope the content is such that midwives themselves can enjoy witnessing birth.

Even though it's difficult to help yourself, it can be quite presumptuous to try to do something nice for someone else. I feel this through my own work.

I thought that if the things I put together to help my physical condition were of help to someone else, I would be able to help each other without self-sacrifice, and that would lead to a brighter life.

Modern food products are becoming more complex due to advances in breeding, genetic modification, and the development of new pesticides and fertilizers. I think the key to enriching your life is to eat pure foods. If the environment was clean before the war, I wouldn't have had to choose ingredients at all, but now a certain amount of knowledge and technique is required. It's really valuable to have a place where you can just go here and buy something nice. In such an era, Tenbusu feels like the parking lot of life.
