Today, we’re introducing “Toyouke Umeboshi” from Japan Toyouke Natural Farming!

Made using plums grown with great care through natural cultivation—without any pesticides or chemical fertilizers—Toyouke Umeboshi is a traditionally crafted product. The ingredients are simple: fully ripened plums, red perilla (shiso) from Toyouke Natural Farming in Shizuoka, and deep ocean mineral salt from Suruga Bay. Because nothing unnecessary is added, the natural flavor of the ingredients stands out—gentle acidity, a subtle sweetness, and rich umami. The plums are soft and tender, evoking a sense of nostalgia with every bite.

These umeboshi are made according to the unique “Toyouke Standards,” which prioritize quality and sustainability. Only heirloom and native seeds are used, cultivated in healthy soil, with no additives, chemical substances, or radiation exposure. Over 90% of their processed foods are made from self-grown ingredients, reflecting a commitment to safe, sustainable food production.
