"Spicy Crunchy Kelp and Sesame" is a premium snack made from the rare Shirokuchihama Kelp, a famous product from Minamikayabe, Hokkaido, and domestically produced chili peppers, carefully roasted to perfection. Shirokuchihama Kelp, also known as "Imperial Kelp," has been a delicacy of Minamikayabe for over 300 years. It is thick and packed with umami. The rich flavor of the kelp and the spicy kick of the chili peppers are perfectly balanced, making this snack both mineral-rich and nutritionally well-rounded.
Minamikayabe, located in the eastern part of Hakodate, Hokkaido, is known for its kelp grown in the nutrient-rich waters where the Oyashio and Tsugaru Warm Currents meet. The kelp harvested here is known for its refined taste and clear broth, and it remains soft even after being used for making broth.
