Today, we're introducing “Organic Shīquasā Pepper!,” a versatile seasoning packed with the sun and natural blessings of Okinawa.

This paste-like (kneaded type) seasoning is a gem made with an unwavering commitment to 100% Okinawa-sourced ingredients. Notably, the star ingredient, shīquasā (Okinawa lime), uses abundant juice and peel from fruit organically grown without pesticides in the Yanbaru forest of Northern Okinawa, having received Organic JAS certification. The shīquasā nurtured in this ideal environment possesses a rich aroma and deep richness, and is also expected to be a strong ally for beauty and health.

For the spiciness, we use only fully ripened Okinawa Island Chili Pepper (Shima Tōgarashi) from Southern Okinawa, which has also acquired Organic JAS certification. The characteristic of this chili is not just its heat, but the deep umami and richness felt within the spiciness. By blending this with Okinawan salt and awamori (Okinawan distilled liquor), the seasoning achieves an addictive flavor where the tingling spiciness and the refreshing aroma of shīquasā stand out.

As for usage, we recommend adding it to hot pot dishes, soups, or noodle dishes, using it as a substitute for yuzu koshō (citrus chili paste). It also offers a refreshing taste when applied to meat dishes like yakitori (grilled chicken skewers), and is excellent as a substitute for wasabi with sashimi.
