Today, we're introducing “Organic Kamairi-cha!,” which is packed with the tradition of Kyushu and the dedication to organic cultivation.

This tea uses 100% organic green tea nurtured in the pristine nature of Gokase Town, Miyazaki Prefecture. Its greatest feature is that it is carefully made using the traditional pan-fired method (Kamairi-cha) passed down in the Kyushu region for centuries.

In this time-consuming process, the freshly picked tea shoots are first fired in an iron pan, and then dried while kneading the leaves. This method produces the characteristic savory aroma unique to Kamairi-cha. Distinct from conventionally steamed teas, its rich fragrance is as delightful as that of hōji-cha (roasted green tea).

The color of the brewed tea is a beautiful, transparent golden yellow. The flavor is appealingly clean and straightforward, with very little astringency, making it easy to drink. You can enjoy an authentic taste simply by steeping 3g of tea leaves in 80–90°C water for about 1.5 to 2 minutes before pouring.
