Today, we’re introducing Ohsawa’s “Concentrated Kombu Dashi”!
Ohsawa’s Concentrated Kombu Dashi is a Japanese-style soup stock made using 100% Hidaka kombu. The kombu extract is slowly simmered to bring out its rich, deep umami flavor. Without using any chemical seasonings, it preserves the natural taste of its ingredients.
As a concentrated type, it’s easy to prepare authentic kombu dashi—simply dissolve it in hot or cold water, making it convenient even on busy days. Packaged in single-serving sachets, it’s easy to use only what you need without any waste. For a quick kombu dashi, dissolve one sachet (5g) in approximately 500ml of water or hot water, and it’s ready to use in your cooking.
It’s versatile and works as a base for a wide variety of dishes, including simmered dishes, stir-fries, and soups, enhancing the umami and depth of flavor. This product is perfect for those who value the natural taste of ingredients or prioritize healthy eating.
