Blended Whiskey Yamazakura!

Hello, I'm Tianbusu, the owner of the organic market! This is Tembusu from Organic Market☆!

Today, we would like to introduce Alisan's “Blended Whiskey Yamazakura”!

The special black label “Blended Whisky Yamazakura” from the Sasanogawa Brewery, which has been in business for over 250 years, blends carefully selected malt and glen whiskies to create a mild, smooth, and enjoyable-to-drink flavor. It can be enjoyed not only on the rocks, but also with water or in a highball.

▶︎What is the Sasanogawa Brewery?

The Sasanokawa Brewery was founded in 1765 in Koriyama, where the cold of Bandai Oroshita has passed and the time has become milder. Our brewery has overcome many trials and tribulations in its long history, and we believe that only by experiencing harsh winters can we produce sake that is gentle and harmonious. With this belief in mind, we have been brewing sake for more than ten generations since the first generation, Asanojo Sotomo.

The Sasanokawa Sake Brewery values the invisible wind. The north wind of Michinoku blows away stagnation and cloudiness, and the spring breeze carries soft aromas. The name “Sasanokawa” comes from the ancient Japanese sake called sasa, and we aim to remain a flexible brewery that can withstand any strong wind.

Our mission is to “brew sake that makes people happy. Under the watchful eye of Matsuo-sama, the god of sake brewing who has been enshrined since ancient times, the brewers create sake with the question in mind, “Who will drink this sake, and at what kind of sake party will it be enjoyed? We hope that our sake will bring smiles and color special moments.

Sasanogawa Brewery continues to brew sake with a spirit of timelessness, adapting to the times while preserving tradition. We are committed to using only Fukushima-grown rice and pursuing a variety of rice flavors. The dry, cold winds blowing from Mount Bandai give our sake its unique flavor and depth.

We are also challenging ourselves to reintroduce the old-fashioned production method, aiming for “the best taste in pursuit of the finest”. We continue to explore the expansion of deliciousness, searching for something forgotten, rather than using production methods that only consider efficiency. Sake should not only get you drunk, but also heal your body and soul. Sasanokawa Brewery will continue to support drinkers in finding their own way of enjoying sake.
