Today we would like to introduce you to "Domestic Wheat Otsuyu-no Tomo"!
Domestic Wheat Otsuyu-no-Tomo is made from the "fusubi", the two ends of the noodles that are attached to the rolling pin during the production of hand-pulled somen, making it a firm and delicious product. Made with domestic wheat flour and pressed sesame oil, it is ideal for miso soup and osu-soup. Since it contains salt, please add it before seasoning. After boiling, it can also be enjoyed as a salad or deep-fried as a snack with beer. It is easy to handle and can be used in a variety of dishes other than soup.
Cooking Methods and Usage
For soup: Add vegetables and other ingredients to the soup stock, let it soften, add "Otsuyu-no Tomo", let it simmer, and season with miso or soy sauce. After boiling, add "Otsuyu-no Tomo" and season with miso or soy sauce.
For salads: Put "Otsuyu no Tomo" in boiling water and blanch for about 2 minutes. Drain in a colander. Mix with vegetables of your choice for a salad.
For a snack: Deep-fry in oil until golden brown.
